"Ode to Bow Chicka Wow Wow" is an instrumental track. Apparently this is an attempt to be ironic, because the very definition of "ode" indicates lyrical content. The phrase "a picture is worth a thousand words" is well know. How much is a sound worth? There are many sounds that "ring a bell" in the collective pop-culture hive mind. Duh nuh duh nuh, might remind a person of Jaws, or perhaps Beavis & Butthead. Doo um do um doo doo might conjure "loving you, is easy because you're beautiful", or it might not. But ever since Rachel on Friends muttered "bow chicka wow wow", it's definition has become quite concrete. Truly, J.J. merely had a desire to throw down on bass guitar, demonstrating the slap skills he honed & perfected oh so long ago. Plus this number provided a fantastic opportunity to use a CryBaby WahWah pedal with absolute context. Hopefully it makes the listener horny with erotic thoughts.
